WHAT WE DO
WHAT IS A DEVELOPMENTAL PEDIATRICIAN?
A developmental pediatrician is a pediatrician who receives three years of additional training to specialize in evaluating, diagnosing and managing the care of children with developmental delays such as autism, global delays, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, ADHD, cerebral palsy and more.
WHAT IS AN EDUCATIONAL DIAGNOSTICIAN?
An educational diagnostician is a professional who has advanced training in teaching and/or diagnostics, such as academic testing. Our educational diagnostician assists with comprehensive evaluations and provides targeted educational therapy for children, teens, and young adults with learning disorders, ADHD, executive functioning difficulties, and other concerns that impact academic performance.
WHAT IS A PEDIATRIC NEUROPSYCHOLOGIST?
A neuropsychologist is a clinical psychologist who is trained in brain-behavior relationships and has completed a two-year post-doctoral fellowship in neuropsychology. They specialize in diagnosing and treating neurodevelopmental disorders and brain disorders that can occur after a neurological injury, such as a brain injury, seizures, stroke, cancer affecting the central nervous system, or as a result of genetic and/or developmental concerns.
WHAT IS A PSYCHOMETRIST?
A psychometrist assists with administering, scoring, and preparing data from psychological and neuropsychological testing. Our psychometrist works one-on-one with patients to administer tests and with parents and teachers to obtain other necessary information for evaluations (e.g., standardized questionnaires, records requests, etc.).
WHAT IS YOUR OFFICE MANAGER’S ROLE?
Our office manager does it all. She is typically the first person with whom a patient or parent will speak. She handles patient scheduling, patient accounting, and day-to-day business operations.
